Divvy Bike Rental Chicago

Every youtuber in NYC loves the CITIbike system that they have there.

Here in downtown Chicago, we have something similar called the “Divvy” bike.

Over on west Michigan Avenue is where the bike rack is, and it is designed to capitalize on those who want to ride on the 19 miles of lakefront bicycle paths.

For tourists (and let’s face it, just about all of us), who don’t want to bring our bikes downtown, this is a handy system.

There are 300 stations across the city and you can take a bike from one station and deliver it to another, creating an easy transit system for navigating the town.

Of course, not risking having a bike stolen is probably one of the nicest advantages.

It is credit card and pedal powered, so be sure to bring your credit card. (They sell 12 and 24 hour passes) You swipe the card, poke a bunch of buttons on the screen and then take a 5 digit code to unlock your bike.

Riding a bike through Chicago offers a unique way to see the city, and can help you navigate around the lack of affordable parking.
